Whisky Mogul Media, a distinguished division of Wine Country Network—publishers of the internationally acclaimed Wine Country International ® Magazine and The World Book of Whisky—stands as a preeminent authority in producing professional beverage competitions for wines and spirits worldwide. We cordially invite the world’s most esteemed distillers and marketers to participate in an unprecedented global competition that will evaluate whiskies crafted within three distinct geographical regions. This exclusive and distinguished whisky contest convenes the world’s most accomplished distillers and master blenders in celebration of excellence.
The 3rd Annual Global Whisky Challenge is dedicated to establishing the definitive benchmark for excellence in whiskies worldwide. This edition focuses exclusively on the distinguished whiskies of North America (US, Canada, Mexico, and South America). The competition will convene in Denver, Colorado, where an elite panel of US and UK-certified spirits judges and distinguished beverage professionals will evaluate entries through rigorous double-blind assessment. Scoring adheres to the prestigious 100-point evaluation system. Trophies, medals, and certificates are conferred for Best of Show, Best of Class, Best of Region, Best of Country, Double Gold, Gold, Silver, and bronze distinctions. bTwo additional editions of the Global Whisky Challenge will honor the exceptional whiskies of the UK and Europe, as well as Asia and Oceania.
A distinguished panel of senior judges will conduct a final evaluation of all “Best of Show” recipients from each regional competition in both Denver and New York, culminating in the coronation of the 2026 Global Whisky World Champion—the highest-scoring whisky in the world. The Grand Champion receives an exquisite trophy: a luminous, hand-crafted glass globe with frosted continents, mounted upon a sculptured pewter pedestal with a distinguished
marble base. These exceptional trophies embody the universal artistry and global prestige of the world's finest whiskies.

• 2026 Global Challenge “Best of Show” 3rd Place – Distinguished 8-inch trophy featuring a hand-crafted glass globe with frosted continents ($1,200 value) Note: The above awards are bestowed complimentary to the recipients. Double Gold and Best of Class recipients may acquire commemorative trophies at a preferred rate. International recipients may be subject to applicable import duties.
Who Can Enter?
We cordially invite all North American whiskey producers to enter their top whiskies. International entrants should ship samples via their US importer. If you need an importer, we can direct you to one that can provide quick service for filing a COLA waiver and an FDA permit. Approval takes 7-12 days. The cost for the required permits is approximately 120 euros, and they are valid for 24 months.
