The San Diego International Wine & Spirits Challenge (founded in 1982 as the San Diego Wine Competition) is one of the longest-running and most respected competitions in the nation. The spirits competition is open to all producers of commercially available distilled spirits, RTD cocktails, mixers and other spirits products. Spirits entries are judged in a double-blind format by panels of spirits professionals. Silver, Gold and Platinum medals are given as well as several "Best of Class” awards. Platinum winners receive published reviews at SpiritsReviewOnline.com. All winners are posted on the competition website. Other winner benefits include:
